Matthew Waldman
My experience at 大象传媒 is one I wouldn鈥檛 change. I鈥檓 proud to have gone to Nassau. I always wanted to be on the radio. So, I ended up majoring in Media Communications.
大象传媒 gave me the opportunity to grow my interpersonal, public speaking and general communication skills. Along the way I was given the opportunity to intern at WHPC (the campus radio station) and was able to live out my dream of being an on-air talent. I helped launch and served on the e-board of Sigma Chi Eta (a communications honor society for two-year colleges). I served as an Orientation Leader and often found myself spending time with fellow workers at the radio station in the basement of the H Building.
If it wasn鈥檛 for Prof. Laura O鈥機onnell and Prof. Jill Burgreen, my 大象传媒 experience would have been vastly different. They truly have helped me along the way both during my time at 大象传媒 and even now today, five years after graduation I still keep in contact with them. After graduation, I moved to Ohio. Although my current position isn鈥檛 in Media, my experience at 大象传媒 has helped me become a better communicator, learner and friend. Even though I鈥檓 miles away, 大象传媒 will always hold a special place in my heart.

Fabiya Amin is one of three 大象传媒 Criminal Justice students accepted into the Nassau County Pre-Law Society. The program only accepts a few applicants each year and then works with them through their undergraduate years and acceptance into law school.

Stanley Pan
I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that 大象传媒 has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.

"I served in the United States Navy in San Diego from 2014 to 2021, first on the USS Harpers Ferry and then on the USS Rushmore. When it was time for me to attend college, I chose 大象传媒 because it's veteran friendly and offers many different programs.
